andyw248 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) To land the La-5, the flaps should only be set to 30 - 40 degrees; with an approach speed of 200 - 210 kph this will give you smooth landings. Don't use full flaps, it will only give you a hard time. This is consistent with the original pilot's handbook (see below). What a beautiful machine!
