resetting a carreer

I was near the end of a  brillant career, when I got killed, and by mistake I hit end mission instead of refly, so I appeared as killed and the carreer ended.- Is there a way to go back and reset the carreer to the last  succesfull mission  ?

Thanks DerSheriff, very useful. But in my case I couldnt resurrect my pilot because perhaps I  did something wrong and  it began again the career from scratch.-

I shouldnt have touch anything and proceed as per your instructions.
