Choosing A specific P-47 to start a campaign

I'm going to start a P-47 Campaign. I want the D-22. My squadron has both types, (22 and 28). Is there a way to insure I get the D-22?

Well as a new Lt. Pilot you fly what is assigned to you for that sortie. The CO Maj. (read as god) will make it easy for you, get into the plane the US Army has so kindly suppled you. And bring it back clean and without any scratches. 

 

Or you can start your campaign as a Maj. Then as CO you can fly what you want and pick what everyone flies and their loadouts too.
