Sprite Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Hey! I'm just getting into flight sims with my new joystick, the Thrustmaster TCA with the throttle quadrant. I was trying to set it up for IL-2: BOS, and here is where the problems begun. I plugged in the joystick and the throttle, dowloaded the drivers for the set from Thrustmaster and fired up the game. The joystick works fine, but the throttle is a different story. I have a feeling that the game reads the throttle lever not as a slider but as a button somehow, beacuse the only time I got it working, the in-game throttle moved only when the lever was in the highest or the lowest position. Does anyone know a solution to this?
Soilworker Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Sounds like the joystick needs to be calibrated - but I'm no expert. Are you using Windows? If so, is the joystick working correctly in the Game Controllers section under Control Panel. (Find control panel in Win10 by typing it into the search bar.) Have you tried another axis to control throttle? I believe the TM TCA has at least 2.
