I know the template probably hasn't been released yet but, perhaps , when it is someone might tackle the Hurri in the  brilliant livery:

It's not all chrome. Fabric is most likely 'Sky' or white. Maybe even silve I assume.

Probably silver dope..The same paint used on most between the war  British military aircraft. I think I read that it held up well to the weather changes & sun light...

After processing in the image colorizer...

As an artist I have only one suggestion & that is to kick a little more of the tarmac into the underside of cowling...just a touch more...

So, basic canvas color. It's like the Sky color for RAF Markings in it's raw form. No Hurricane template yet.

I'll do it Blitzen. I was gonna do the prototype anyway so I'm going to be halfway there! Just waiting on the template mate (did you see what I did there?). The canvas was painted in a type of dope that had aluminium pigment that (obviously) looked slightly different to the bare aluminium parts. It came out as a sort of slightly more glossy than satin but not as glossy as bare aluminium. Just think of the effect of aluminium Airfix paints and you're kinda in the ballpark.

What's the gen on this plane anyway? Where's it from etc etc? I do like to know the history of what I'm doing, generally...

Thanks Raptorattacker!!!

Here's more details on this particular aircraft...also a pic of a Hawker Fury that shows off the same combination of polished aluminum & silver/aluminum dope...

( may I also  plug Wig Leaders book on the early  Hurricane which is where I found the picture of the "all aluminum" Hurri...)

A couple of quick skinners have already had a go at a polished version:

( not the one shown above but very pretty anyhow!)?
