Dirt_Merchant Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Can we get the ability to have curves and deadzones set on a per device basis instead of per axis? Al la the "other" sim? Alternatively if someone can inform me on how to block input from a specific device, in order that an alternative device on the same axis is recognized, that would be fine.
Sokol1 Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Well, this (an RoF feature) has been requested since ~2014... hope is free. ? ... block input from a specific device, in order that an alternative device on the same axis is recognized, Or go in controls and reassign the axis for this new device, e.g. if want use an Yoke, reassign the axis, and do the inverse when go back to joystick - if are a 32+ buttons joystick... you are out luck. Or use external methods, like replace the "current.action" will involve in re-start the game, game config files is read when game load. Check if Joystick Gremlin allow exchange profiles "on the fly", using Alt+Tab.
dburne Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) Unfortunately no, same as cannot map modifiers to buttons. Nor have individual aircraft settings, which causes me more and more confusion as more and more planes are added. I would love this to be added, but unfortunately I don't think it ever will. Dirt_Merchant Posted November 6, 2020 Author Posted November 6, 2020 gah how frustrating this is - my purpose here, which works perfect in all other sims, is to use my bodnar board output from my ffb2 - while also having the ffb2 mapped to preserve force feedback effects.
Sokol1 Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 I think in this case will be not a problem. MSFFB2 will be joy1 and BU0836 joy2 (or vice versa, depends on VID/PID). BU0836 send input for game move controls surface (aileron, elevator...). MSFFB2 receive input from game for make grip jump like a Rodeo Bull.
Dirt_Merchant Posted November 6, 2020 Author Posted November 6, 2020 this is what i thought too, but it seems that the ffb2 controller supersedes the bodnar input.
