Patt, your software has been one of the very reasons I have stuck with PWCG for such a long time. It has given me lots of fun memories over the past years. However, I've got to say that lately the UI has become really slow as of late. Sometimes it takes a considerable amount of time to access some of the UI elements (waypoint editor, pilot roster, intel map, etc). Do you think it will be possible to optimize the UI to make it a bit faster? And if it would be possible, how much of a priority is it personally for you?

I do see the same and experience the same thing that you do maybe with some differences.  The one element that is obviously slow is the transition between the waypoint editor and the pilot selection screen. Some caching immediately after the mission is generated might help.  I suspect that I am searching too much data to acquire a little bit.

I have not seen too much of an issue moving from the briefing description to the briefing map to the waypoint editor.  It is waypoint editor to pilot edit chalkboard that is really slow.  If you are having a different experience please tell me where.

Some of the map screens can be slow because the maps are big images.  I have to load 5 images from full size to smaller to support zoom.  I do have a background task to load them while the user is doing other things, but better optimization there might be possible, especially in a campaign where I know exactly which map images you will need.

This is something that I want to do.  As a priority it rates lower than bugs, but the issues with 11 are clearing up now so this is a good time.

One thing that I cannot help is the time to create the binary files when you accept a mission.  I am running and external !C program called resaver to do that, and I do not have any control over it other than providing the option not to generate binaries, which I have done.  If you take that option then you  wait in the game instead of in PWCG :)

I have no complaints about mission generating, that's fine as it is. Thank you for your answer anyway.
