Dear all,

I've just read about the passing of 'Big' Phil on the RoF forum.

 

I think it should be acknowleged here, in consideration of everything he did for the ww1 community all the way back to the beginnings of RoF.

NFF has provided a lot of fun for hundreds of us over many years now, and Phil kept the servers going right to the end.

If there's one thing I remember him hating, it was server downtime !

 

Truly the end of an era for many of us.

Take care on your final flight Phil.

Sad news indeed.  Squad had a lot of fun flying NFF.

Very sad news.

 

I remember when it was just the five of us in New Wings back in 2011. I recall that it was Patriarch's suggestion that a group dedicated to helping newbies be formed. I wasn't around for the split that formed NFF but still, Patriarch was a key member back in the day and a good guy. Many good times were had.
