AvGeek19 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Hello I am very new to the Il-2 flight simulator because I bought Battle of Stalingrad yesterday, but had to realise that my Saitek flight yoke with throttle quadrant doesn't work. I have it fully setup for FSX, but the inputs don't seem to appear in key mapping settings Sturmovik. Can somebody help me please? Any kind of help would be appreciated.(I don't want to spend money on a joystick if there is someway to make the yoke work) Regards, Victor
jollyjack Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Hello Victor. Is the Joystick showing up in Windows Device manager? If not you have maybe no drivers installed. If it works with other software you could remove (rename) the input folder in the data folder. On boot the game will make a new one. In the devices.txt file it should show up, in my case: --- configId,guid, model| 0,%22a37a6120-8dcd-11ea-0000545345440380%22,Joystick%20-%20HOTAS%20Warthog| 1,%22a37a8830-8dcd-11ea-0000545345440480%22,Throttle%20-%20HOTAS%20Warthog --- PS You could check for obsolete USB drivers with USBdeview, a free tool, and remove all that are not green (whites are the obsolete ones). JoyID you could use to change a Joystick ID number if needed.
AvGeek19 Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 Hi jollyjack Thanks for your advice, I looked up the things you said, the yoke was indeed not showing up in the device manager, so I removed the input folder, and after booting up Sturmovik it was there with those text files, so removing the folder worked for me. Thanks a lot! Victor 1
