They appear for games like a joystick, see in this video at 2:29:

WW have a software called SimAPP PRO, seems for receive output from the game, for, e.g. synchronize lights on pane with lights on planes cockpit. The guy say that the software are required for DCS F/A-18 only.

Will be difficult map those multi-position rotary switches in IL-2:Gb due their "predilection" for toggle (press once for ON, press once for OFF) only commands.

In DCS forum an guy say " It should behave like a regular Windows HID device like other Winwing gear", meaning that like VirPil, VKB, WingWing use Windows HID drivers and not proprietary drivers like Thrustmaster,  so their controllers are "Plug-n-Play" for Windows and games (there after assign buttons axis in controls).

As above, the limitation will be the game, e.g. in Bo'X for turn on cockpit lights you press a key momentarily, for turn off need press the same key again.

For overcome this simplification (made to be friendly for "keyboard players"), you need a software for translate the the ON/OFF state of latching toggle switches of the panel as required by the game, and so a keymaper software, e.g. Joystick Gremlin, became necessary.

If are not looking in this panels primarily for DCS, you make better use of the money ordering a "tailored" panel of GVL224.
