I intend to change for a more powerful computer with a GeForce 2080 or more...any advise for a PC with power to run our sim with nice graphic performances and fluidity?

By the way what to save imperatively  from my Il2 Battle of Stalingrad folder to download the game on my future new PC? Campaigns and settings for joystick, throttle, paddle, keyboard?

Thanks for answers.

I suggest going for a good CPU. High end GPU like this needs a good CPU anyway... And an open world flight simulator with a lot of objects needs a good CPU as well.
Are you going to buy the RTX2080 or do you have one already? If you are going to buy one, why not go for 30xx?

Also I suggest to backup your whole old folder.
On new computer start installation. Pause and copy and overwrite everything from the old folder. Or without installation you could just backup and restore the registry and place the old folder into Program Files x86 (dont forget to adjust folder security to allow read write)

I just changed hardware from Intel i5 2500K & nvidia GTX 970 to Ryzen 3900X & 5700XT by just moving the hard drives from the old machine to the new and installing needed AMD chipset etc. drivers after that. Windows 10 handled it ok.

I suggest you hold until Ryzen 5 5600 come out pair with RX 6800 or RTX 3070 & 16GB RAM >3200MHz.

I'm sure you will get a race horse!

"Input" folder has saved your controllers confs. Backup it.

I just upgraded from an eight year old computer.  Could not wait for Ryzen, 6800 gpu...life is too short and in reality it's going to be some months before we see any of this stuff readily available.  COVID has made a mess of distribution and supply.  If you have the fortitude to wait...go for it.

Anyway, I'm quite happy with the i7-10700k, RX 5700XT, Gigabyte Aorous Elite Z490mobo and Gigabyte 32" gaming monitor.  Runs at 144 and pretty much ultra quite smoothly.

Make sure when you upgrade to have enough power...I had a 750W Thermaltake PSU I bought back eight years ago...works perfectly and powered the vidcard, etc good.

To prevent from updating fuzz and/or problems do not put the folder into the Program files folder! Theat filder is treeated as aspecially protected by windows and may cause problems if win defender finds the updates suspicious in any way. Put the game anywhere else in your HDD(s)
