Wounded Persona Pilot - how to get back into action?

Greetings,

 

I'm playing in SP and I (that is, my persona pilot) was lightly wounded during the last mission and is currently out of action (the red cross symbol is displayed next to him on the roster).

 

How do I move things along time-wise, so that he (I) can fly again?

 

I've closed and reopened PWCG and IL-2 a couple of times but the Squadron is stuck on the date that he (I) got wounded.
