I want the arrival of a train to activate a column.

I have got it to work the other way around but there are no trains in the objects list for a complex trigger.

What MCU(s) would I use to link to the 10s Start Timer?

Better yet, where would I look in the manual to find out how to have a train activate a vehicle to move?  I'm not sure what MCU(s) to use.

Once I have that info I can figure out how to set up it's Properties and Advanced Properties.

TIA

I looked at a Check Zone and was able to Object link it to the 10s Start Timer but don't understand how to activate it.  Would I send an Event link or an On Report link from the train to it?

Have the train stop waypoint trigger the 10s Start Timer.

?  DOH!  It never occurred to me to directly Object Link the waypoint to the timer.  :dash:  Silly because I use waypoints to trigger Attack and Attack Area MCU's.

There are SO many things to remember using the ME that you can (or at least I can) forget stuff all too easily, especailly when trying to expand your skill set.

Or, as  reporter Herbert Morrison said when his ME crashed....

"Oh the complexity!"

Aside from your current situation, if you ever need a complex trigger to fire for a train, you could try adding your train names to the Object names list and select the Check Vehicles checkbox.

I tried that, placed the full name as it appeared in the trains Properties box, checked the Check Vehicles box and put the trains coalition in the the Counties box and no joy.

I must have made some kind of error because it didn't work.  I'll try that again today.

One thing I'm learning is there are so many different ways to make things happen so even if  Object Linking the waypoint to the Timer works I'll want to have this option so that I can trigger an event while the train is en route.

Target Link - don’t confuse yourself.

Anything can trigger anything else. ;)

Waypoints to timers are very handy, even just within a single aircraft or vehicles’ logic to enable delays, loitering and such.

A Timer is not an Object.

I used a Target Link and it worked. ?

Fortunately the ME makes you use the correct link. :good:
