jollyjack Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) Any one knows what mod caused these missing ships? Maybe how to make them work again? Edited October 28, 2020 by jollyjack
1CGS LukeFF Posted October 28, 2020 1CGS Posted October 28, 2020 Why don't you just disable your mods one-by-one and find out?

I was wondering, if these two missing ships are related with mods on or off. I think NO. Because I have two installations of the game - one for running mods, the other one clean without any modifications. Both editors show those two "strange" ships. And in both versions - modded and clean - those ships are listed, but you don't see any preview picture of them. All other boats or ships work perfectly on every map. I'd suggest to just select the two ones with the same name, but without this "80_" prefix and you're good to go. 1
jollyjack Posted October 28, 2020 Author Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) OK, figured that out, after looking every where for that 80_ name. Must be in some GTP file, maybe for a yet to come riverboat? Two installations .. must be hectic organizing your missions, groups and campaigns maybe ... You work with place holders (short-cuts) ? 35 minutes ago, LukeFF said: Why don't you just disable your mods one-by-one and find out? Did that, see Therion's post too. Did that, see Therion's post too. Yes, I'v got two shortcuts which I renamed accordingly. Plus, I've created some quick access shortcuts in my file explorer to have easy and secure access to the corresponding folders (campaigns, skins etc.). And finally, the two installations are different at that point as the first one - the clean vanilla installation - is through STEAM and the second one - modding playground - is a stand-alone installation. This has another positive effect if you ask me, because STEAM automatically updates my first installation, whereas my second one needs to be updated manually via launcher. So, in case an update would cause some severe trouble, I still would have the second installation, which I could run in offline mode to avoid update related trouble. Just in case. Btw. all my mods I use are not installed manually. I manage and control them via OvGME - a tool like JvGME, but newer and better. Cheers
