Damaged Crane & Sub-Surface Torpedoboat

I keep setting up new harbor grounds, but half of the cranes are defect ... is that due some mod, or mod remains installed, and how can you fix that?

And these torpedoboats run very fast indeed, but always in a straight line partly underwater ignoring the waves ...

I had this issue too.  You have a collision between the ship envelope and the crane envelope with is dangling cable.

The only possibility would be to have ship and crane made invulnerable.

The problem happens if you want your ship to be bombed or destroyed in your scenario. This means it must be destructible.

In that case the only solution I found is to have the ship or the crane (your choice) at a safe distance so that no collision occurs.

If you want the ship to be as near as possible to the dock then you must move the crane further on the dock so that the dangling cable is not inside the ship envelope.

Having the ship very near the dock is not a good idea except in case you have a very calm sea.

Otherwise if you have waves (Kuban map) then the ships even if in port, they will move around (they do not stay fixed on the spot) and will collide with the dock in which case the go through the dock, or the will move further apart from the dock in which case is fine.

Not being able to anchor is one of the bugs with ships and waves that to my knowledge has never been fixed.

In this same topic with ships and harbour docks there are many not well "finalized" items.

1) You should be able to anchor a ship.

2) Anchored ships should turn in the wind on their anchor (generally on the bow).

3) Ships tied to a dock should stay and not move at all, just rock on their spot.

4) Docks should be real solid objects and not kind of floating ethereal entities. Bombs and ships go through. They cannot be destroyed. Bombs go through and do water splashes through the concrete as if nothing existed.

5) Waves should be stopped by the harbour concrete walls so that the sea should be calmer in the harbour .

6) Wind direction and wave direction should be about the same.

As you see a lot of "important" things in my view regarding immersion that will probably never be corrected.

Thnx ... Anchored ships, never heard or saw that, how's that done? .. i'll try the invulnerable, for cranes i set damage to 0 and 0 now.

Next game start there was even a fire effect coming with that crane, and there were no effects programmed, and changing camera view put out the fire, weird !!

I guess your ship collided with the crane...

Yep, still working on it .... amazing logic this ME stuff. Sometimes you can't even sleep over the ifs, hows and maybes.

The six points mentioned above  in my post are points I would like to have done by devs.

So nope you cannot anchor your ship.

ah, misunderstood. Rapidus announced 4.502, mentioned a Uv2s Ai correction sofar ..

PS you made a Kerch area shipping campaign, had not looked at it yet ....

accidentally i was messing with ships there, pity Sebastopol is not on the map BTW.

Set a destroyer to German, but the flag is wrong, any tricks for that?

No. When you set the nationality it will not set the correct flag.

Again one of the many things to fix but I guess nobody cares.

So then we need at least one German destroyer ...
