Confused about the version CLOD is now reached

I have been waiting years for CLOD Blitz version 5.0 to come out.  Today I noticed that on STEAM that Desert Wings has the words 'version 5.010'.

So does that mean that the leap from version 4.??.   has taken place?    It must be as I just started up the game and notice in the lower right corner Version 5.010.

In August they released version 5.000 which came with all of the new aircraft, ships, ground vehicles, artillery, Tobruk map and campaigns, and many fixes/improvements to the game itself. (almost) Identical to what happens with the Final release of a Battle of... product.

Afterwards, Team Fusion, the developers began releasing patches, and so far they have released 10 patches since Desert Wings-Tobruk came out; explaining why the version is 5.010.

We went from version 4.57 to version 5.0 on August the 6th, 2020, with the release of the add-on "Desert Wings - Tobruk". In the meantime... yep, 10 more patches have been added to the software (5.001, 5.002, 5.003, 5.004...).... so, yes, it's version 5.010 now. Next will be version 5.011.

CLIFFS OF DOVER - BLITZ has been updated with some of the core game engine features from DESERT WINGS - TOBRUK, so it now has a new version 5.0 number.

 

But it is not the full version 5.0... that is the new DLC called IL-2 STURMOVIK DESERT WINGS - TOBRUK.

 

You need to purchase TOBRUK to get the full version.
