Hello.

I have a weird issue that I couldn't find a solution yet. When I start pwcg.exe, there are no images and texts are also unreadable. When I click randomly and hover the mouse, texts are overlapping eachother. To be clarify, I attached some screenshots and error log. Can anyone help me? screenshot1.thumb.png.f2fd419941e18f111ced6494e07bf974.pngscreenshot2.thumb.png.1e6844ae87899aaf9283bb2aa3ce9279.png

Not sure what happened but I see this:

Request to load null resizing image: E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS\BoSData\Images\Menus\MainFullScreen.jpg

That indicates that PWCG can't find much of anything that it needs.  Suggest reinstalling.

Back up your Campaigns or Users directory

Download PWCG again

Wipe PWCG

Reinstall from the fresh download

Restore your Campaigns or Users directory

Thanks for the quick response Patrick. Unfortunately I have tried that several times but no luck.

Have you tried downloading PWCG again?

Also, can you verify that this file exists on your system?  E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS\BoSData\Images\Menus\MainFullScreen.jpg

Finally, if it does, are you running the exe from E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS?

I have checked, images are in the folder, but when I click randomly some lines added to error log

Request to load null resizing image: E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS\BoSData\Images\Menus\BrickWall.jpg

Request to load null resizing image: E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS\BoSData\Images\Menus\TableTop.jpg

I think the issue is exe file does not work properly on my system.

Also I have tried to reinstall java again.

64 bit java installed?  Must be because PWCG generally will not even start without it but it might be worth checking anyway,

Has there been any development concerning this? I am having the exact same issue. It's weird because I couldn't find another instance of this happening to anyone other than Tango1.

Any help would be appreciated. Posting my error log in case it helps.

Looks like a bad install.

Request to load null resizing image: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS\BoSData\Images\Menus\MainFullScreen.jpg

It can't find the images.  In any successful zip download this image and the others will just be there.  I would recommend deleting your PWCG install and reinstalling.

Second alternative: if the jpg that you see really in the error really is there then it might be permissions.  Run PWCG as admin.

As you said, it's not unheard of that the Windows file system can prevent programs from accessing folders that require permissions elevation i.e admin consent.

Elevating the program with "Run as Admin" could be the fix.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have deleted PWCGBoS folder, redownladed PWCG from http://www.pwcampaignmanager.com/pwcgbos/web/PWCGBoS.php (the zip file size is 193 mb, just writting it to make sure the download is not corrupted), extracted PWCGBoS folder into my main BoS installation directory (so that there is only the folders of bin, data and PWCGBoS), and ran the program as administrator. Unfortunatelly there is no difference. Once again, here is the error log. Any other advise you can think of would be appreciated.

1. Can you confirm that  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGBoS\BoSData\Images\Menus\MainFullScreen.jpg actually does or does not exist?

2. Can you unzip into a different directory than C:\Program Files (x86) and try running PWCG?  PWCG will complain about being installed to the wrong directory but if it starts then we have an idea that the install location is the issue.

The jpg file is available in the correct address. I can open and view it individually, so there is no problem with the file itself.
I deleted PWCGBoS folder and extracted the zip file on my desktop. Unfortunatelly the result did not change.
