=TF=bintynz Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 (edited) Hi all, Firstly thanks in advance for those taking an interest - I appreciate there are a number of threads out there. I've tried searching these forums, the ATAG forums and the Steam ATAG forum for an answer to this and apologise if I've missed it. I've created some Co-Op missions in CLOD so a mate and I can start up a server and blast some AI together; nothing fancy but a bit of fun. What I'd like to do is rename AI squadron-mates' aircraft to our friends names but I haven't figured out how i.e. instead of the label saying "Spitfire IIa FC o B" (which I'm assuming is short for 'Fat Cats' B-for-Bobby type thing), it says Spitfire IIa FC Dave etc... I've tried saving the aircraft ID as 'Dave' in the FMB as I'm creating (editing an existing!!) mission but nope. Then I've gone hunting in the .mis file for the mission and tried adding 'Dave' in a number of places (and also seen that my FMB ID of Dave IS in there on one of the lines of information) but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what needs to be edited to change out the aircraft registration letters to names?? I imagine it might be quite simple but I'm a noob and am completely maxed out already! Hope its not embarrassingly simple and that someone might be able to assist. Many thanks from an amateur kiwi driver... Edit - I notice it says BOM and BOS under my name but I'll reiterate that I'm trying to do this in Cliffs of Dover - Blitz. Edited October 27, 2020 by bintynz
Sokol1 Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 (edited) Sorry, but the game don't allow do this. Not even your own nickname you can change in game, is assumed the Steam nickname. The only thing you can do is use the Serial field in Player Plane and add there up to 5 letters name, e.g can use "DAVE" an will appear over plane skin, but this serial is not show in plane "label" - those (IMO dump) Neon like banners over planes.
