STEAM and Flying Circus

I am a long time player of Rise of Flight but trying to move on I just Purchased Flying Circus v.1 in Steam. I read the game needed Battle of Stalingrad to run so I bought it to.

I now can see the BoS launcher, but my steam does not show Flying Circus at all!

If I lunch BoS I see the 2 mini campaigns of FC inside but that's it! can not fly any practice, no single missions NOTHING other that what is in the mini campaigns. 

Am I missing something here? I read this could be played independently as a game, in fact I thought this was to be step up from Rise of Flight not a step down...

Can somebody shed light on this?

If you still can avoid steam, you're far better off buying direct from IL2 !
