Hetzer05 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Hi Guys, could you please help me to setup an m&k control layout for VR use? I know it's not ideal I just want to try to game until my joystick arrives next week as I was super excited to finally get it on sale. This is my first time playing an actual simulator so i am totally lost with the controls, but I hope that since i don't need to assing anything to look around in VR it is possible. I don't need this to be super competitive, just want to play around a bit with casual settings, but the default controls are useless and the setup menu is too confusing for me with all the options. Thank in advance!
Lusekofte Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I would gelp if my English was better. Did you set the game on mouse control when it asked

It would help to know which movements should I assing to the mouse axis/scroll and which ones on the keyboard.
Lusekofte Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 You should set sideways movement on mouse to aileron. Push mouse forward to pitch down backwards to pitch up. You can push inverted button if it is opposite. If you fly attacker. Left mouse button to all guns. Right for bombs or rocket wheel push bombs or rocket. for fighter only. Weapon one for guns left button. Weapon two for right button. throttle use free slot to make your own keyassigns by clicking on the square and push a easily reachable button on left side of keyboard One for throttle up and one for down.
Sokol1 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 You can use "mouse control" - tick the option in game menus, and use the typical "FPS" play setup. But you need think and use the mouse like joystick, not the "point and follow" of War Thunder and other (arcade) games. Mouse back = plane noose up (elevator up) Mouse forward = plane nose down (elevator down) Mouse right = plane bank right (aileron right) Mouse left = plane bank left (aileron left) Free the keys "WASD" from other commands and set in then. A and D = yaw (rudder) W and S = increase/decrease throttle
