Its in Win10/User/Appdata. Dont remember if Local or Roaming. Appdata is by default unvisibel. Look there for the Natural Point Folder *Profiles

Hi,

I am having issues configuring TrackIr5 for IL2 Great Battles. Its working, but not ideal, I have to move my head a lot if I want to get my head out of the cockpit or zoom in for example.

Can anyone please share their profile?

Thanks!

Historically I found that TIR wasn't great for movement in 3D (up/down/left/right/forward/back/sideways) but it was excellent for up/down left/right.  Anything else led to odd movements for example shifting your head sideways led to looking right at the same time.

My personal recommendation is to limit it to 2D and use a zoom key.

For the profile, you want a curve that looks like a smile so a very slow response around the centre that speeds up as you reaches the extreme of movement.  Then tweak the responsiveness to suit your own style.  I've attached the one I used to use for TIR5 in IL2 (and ROF hence the file name).

Good luck.

I took the default smooth and tweaked the response curves when things felt too slow or fast. It did not take long to get one dialed in that works fine for me looking around, including leaning a bit to look out the back left or right.

Thanks a lot for help guys! I will try your profiles and tips.

And yes I have zoom shortcuts on my devices.

I have had TIR since the first edition and each subsequent edition thereafter. I have refined my profile over the years and had became very satisfied with it. Then I downloaded Requiem's TIR Profile and compared it to mine. LOL, they are almost identical. Just search out Requiems profile in the 'beginning pilots start here' thread see the link in the EDit below. Follow his directions to install. Remember that it takes a bit of practice to get used to using TIR. If you only try it once or twice and think this is to twitchy then you need to practice more to receive its' true potential. If you didn't like it after 2 weeks then maybe it is not for you. TIR is one of the 2 best hardware purchases I have made. The other being MFG Crosswind rudder peddles.
