Lusekofte Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 I found it o_O Kind of been up here during winterhunt. Never seen it before. Probably buried in snow. Me and my wife took a hike up to see if we could take picture of the oldest mountains in the world. Pretty amazing beeing up on the top there and see endless mountain tops. But fog and rain/ snow made us change our mind. Well down again we go 12 2
messsucher Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Ah, a lovely retreat to go think about life. Norway is my favorite place in Earth. The combination of Norwegian Sea, fjords, rivers, and mountains is a stunning combination.
unreasonable Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 That first one looks more like "where Hobbits take a dump". A warm climate is better for my old joints, but I remember fondly times in the Scottish Highlands and Iceland that had a similar cool, misty atmosphere that your photos show so well.
Lusekofte Posted October 13, 2020 Author Posted October 13, 2020 We got better photos. I stopped most of my hunting. Now I carry my wifes photo equipment. She took some real nice ones. These are from my cheap iPhone. It was a 1 hour hike up where we Where. Planned for a trip two hours longer, but the fog got thicker. I got arthritis attacking my tendon parties. I walk these mountains now just for keeping me well enough to work. Too many cold long hours outdoor during winter have teared my bidy down
vonGraf Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Nice pictures. The inside of the hut reminds me of the 'refugios' I saw in the Spanish Pyrenees but they're made of stone. A place in the mountains where you can sleep or take a rest if the weather got too bad or caught by night; had a fireplace, bunks and some tools to make wood. And a broom. Some had a guestbook too.

It is pretty common . Leave it as you find it. These huts saves life in Norway 1

Didn't know Norway has something like that too. I've been in Norway only as a kid in the '60s. And in Oslo only.
BOO Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 you found a broken down hut in the middle of nowhere that you mysteriously had not noticed before......and you went inside. You, my friend, are a good deal more adventerous than I!! 3
Feathered_IV Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Looks like a fantastic place to visit. There’s something in my DNA that makes me quite happy to go tramping around misty hillsides in the rain. 1
