Kozmyk Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Is it, or might it be in the future, possible to assign a combination of buttons (especially joystick buttons) to a particular function? I know you have keyboard modifier keys able to be combined with other keys or buttons but the ability to combine controller buttons would be much more flexible. For example - I'm accustomed to using my joystick Zoom Button (Button 3) in combination with my Elev Trim Up/Down Buttons to operate the Aileron Trim. I know there is no Trim at the moment but I would like to be able to use this kind of combination for other functions also. When I tried to enter a combination the interface on lt took the first button pressed. I use a Thrustmaster HOTAS X. Not a high-tech stick, I know but I like the Rudder Rocker which I haven't found on another stick. PS There are players whose controller of choice is the XBox controller. That may seem odd to some, but for those who have grown up using these controllers, their muscle memory is attuned to them more than traditional Joysticks. The present button combination options preclude them from enjoying IL2:BoS Shouldn't be too hard to include an expanded combination facility.
Kozmyk Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 Trim is there. Thanks. I will have another look. It did not work when I last tried it. And the idea of more/open Button Combinations? Could that be there in the future?
Nil Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I suggested added modifiers to joystick buttons.. but that post went down like a leadballoon.. as in not even replied to. 1
Sokol1 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Use joystick button to modify a joystick button, or a key to modify a key, and a joy' button/key to modify axis behavior is nice feature, add a lot of flexibility in commands setup. Sokol1 1
