vx111vx111swift Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 On my rudder pedals if you press them downward its supposed to activate the brakes. Is there a way to do this. Mine do not work.
Sokol1 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) Help if you inform the brand/model of your pedals. Happens that for some brands/models an axis need be assign inverted, e.g. press the pedal, select "Right (or left) wheel brake", release the pedal. Edited October 11, 2020 by Sokol1
vx111vx111swift Posted October 11, 2020 Author Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) That works only for 1 brake . if you assign right foot right brake , then cant set anything for left brake. These ar CH These are Pro Pedals from CH products Edited October 11, 2020 by vx111vx111swift These are Pro Pedals from CH products
Sokol1 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) My guess is that you are trying assign the brakes pads in the wrong command: "Wheel brakes". "Wheel brakes" is for assign that "bicycle brake lever" of some VKB, VirPil joysticks. Example. For CH Pedals you need use the commands: "Right Wheel Brakes" - assign right pedal brake. "Left Wheel Brakes" - assign left pedal brake. BTW - This brakes on pedals will work only for planes with "toe brakes": German and American planes, plus i-16. For all other Russian, British, Italian planes will not work. For these planes set a joy button (or use default key) in "Wheel brakes". Edited October 11, 2020 by Sokol1

Off to add yet another keymapping.

I might add that since I broke one of my toe brakes, I learned that you can also use that binding (and rudder) to steer your german/american plane on the ground? Sokol1 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Yes, this game smartly allow this, a plus for player that use twist rudder stick only.
vx111vx111swift Posted October 11, 2020 Author Posted October 11, 2020 Ihave been assigning it to Right wheel brakes and left wheel brakes. Only one will work.
Sokol1 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Then, next steep is your pedala are working OK. Open Windows "search" box, type joy.cp hit enter. In the Game Controllers window select your CH PRO Pedals, then click in "properties" and test the axes, specially the brakes. If all are OK there, post a PrintScreen or game assignments for pedals.
J2_Bidu Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 (edited) Mine don't work either. They used to work though. But I've just been playing Flying Circus, and no use for them there. They work fine on the Windows driver test app. Any idea why this might happen? The pedals otherwise work fine. Thanks. P.S.: actually, after trying a LOT, I got it to work; instead of just moving the actual brake I had to sort of move the whole thing, or it wouldn't detect; that is, I had to, say, yaw left and break left at the same time, and quite a few times at that. Weird. In game it's fine! Edited October 19, 2020 by J2_Bidu
