messsucher Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) So did a lot of googling for switch, trim, and button panels suitable especially for VR flight simming. Found out that simple button boxes might be okayish solution because of their price. You don't need exactly anything fancy when you are blindfolded. I searched this forum but found nothing about cheap button boxes. In Reddit was a lot of talk and people seemed to be generally happy with them. Here is a picture of a box what I found interesting. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/27-Function-USB-Push-Button-Toggle-Rotary-Box-for-PC-racing-flight-sim/254742727276?hash=item3b4fd98a6c:g:nKYAAOSwwqxetWZ~ It does have four rotary knobs for trims/radiators/mixtures and plenty of buttons. Now I have questions, if anyone have experience of similar buttons and rotary knobs. - How does those buttons feel when pushed? Do they give good feedback you pressed them or are they mushy and sort of unreliable? - How does rotary knobs work? Are they accurate enough and can you adjust things well blindfolded? Would it be much better to get levers? - How many rotary knobs is needed for a) fighters b) twin engine bombers? - Would the button box in link be good for VR IL-2 gaming? Insight and information would be much appreciated since it would take ages for me to figure out what is generally needed. Thank you in advance. Edit: Shrug, no comments, well, have to figure myself of what use it is, so bought it. Edited October 11, 2020 by messsucher
