Fiddling with the config files

Is there any benefit to adjusting the graphic/render settings in the ini files? I've had a Google and found a couple of threads mentioning a few changes people had made in the past, but are there any recommendations the more seasoned amongst us would suggest?

 

Also I know I can select on the map what I wish to see and what to hide, both in game and in brief, but is there a setting to allow the game to remember those changes?

Manual adjust Conf.ini has benefits for the old il-2 Sturmovik:1946, and at time game developer give some hints about.

 

For CloD , although possible is not document, neither is know if changes there make any practical effect.

 

In the old CloD forum in 1c publishing are some topics about, but mere speculation. 

 

The changes made on map options are not saved when you close the game, so is need do for each mission.
