Hi All,

For those who missed the action last weekend, or for those that want to get back in the cockpit of the great D.520, here is you chance!

Last weekend's event saw plenty of dogfighting action. This weekend will be no different!

TFS will be Livestreaming the event, this week from the viewpoint of the Luftwaffe. Join TFS's Pattle, along with Karaya and Flare as we do battle this time against the D.520, starting in the Bf-109 E-1 as shown in the picture.

As this is a mission including Desert Wings Tobruk aircraft, such as the D.520, you will need to own DWT to take part.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers,

Pattle

Please Pattle, allow the "French Army" markings this time. The last time we were forced to deactivate the markings (they were British only!).

To all virtual pilots: the first event last Sunday not only was a ton of fun, it also was a very well conceived mission to fly. Do not hesitate to join us tomorrow.

Wel well well... this time I made more than two sorties...

On our first sortie (or second, can't remember right now), we still were forimg a flight of 4 D.520s... until a bunch of bast***s got us down one by one! I know Karaya and Pattle were among them on board their 109s... maybe Flare too... You naughty naughty naughty boys... all of those broken D.520s... are you proud of what you've done?

But that was great again! At least I damaged one 109 and one 110... better than nothing...

That was as great as the first edition of the mission.

Now let's imagine one online dynamic campaign : Fall Gelb, then Dunkirk, then Fall Rot, then the Battle of Britain... all of this is consistent and can be reenacted online with our Channel map. I heard about the "Storm of War" server and its online campaigns... what's going on with those campaigns? will they be back?

Absolutely. This area you are circling with your mouse cursor at 1h23'00'' is exactly the area we were trying to protect, taking off and immediately entering in combat. I talk about our own airfields, Grandvilliers and Haute-Fontaine, being persistently bombed by your bombers. In my group that evening, we were four on D.520s and on one Hurricane taking off from Grandvilliers.

Nice combats, you the Germans dominated the sky this time. On the Oct. the 4th event, we obtained better results on board our D.520s. This time, at least in my case, I definitely wasn't on top of things and I completely screwed-up all my sorties.

Look at this, Pattle, after I chose to proceed to a belly landing... I avoided collisions with the trees thank to a belly landing on water, on an affluent of the Somme that I think is the Selle river:

On the above screenshot, you'll notice, as my game is in French, the line "Parachute ATAG Pattle a échoué" ("Parachute ATAG Pattle failed"). I thought: "well... at least I'm alive and Pattle is dead" (LOL).

Nice dogfights. Thank you, noble foes.

This can happen at times, that things just completely spiral and snowball out of control. Sometimes there is things to learn of of it.

Thank you Karaya!

Going back to the OT video, the Team Fusion Simulations livestream, as I watched it again: at 1'24'28''... that's Pattle's gunsight and guns... shooting at me. So, yes, that's me on that D.520... dumber that dumberer! LoL! We were discussing something at that moment, and completely unaware of those German fighters behind us. We dropped our guard and we paid for that.

Last part of the BoF event series. Some tough fighting in this part. Got around 8 kills out of this sortie.
