The sequence of the bombs falling and the way it is filmed is just absolutely superb. Excellent use of the camera possibilities. I tried many things but that is the proof that with creativity we can do always better. The soundtrack adds also some tension. Loved it.
=J18=FritzGerald Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 (edited) Sometimes I write poetry about videos/books and anything else that I really like, this video is something that I really like so I wrote this poem about it. As the sun rose a rumbling filled the ear, A sound of menace was spreading here, Plane upon plane spread out on the field, Ready to face death and none willing to yield. The sun rose higher as Havocs roll, Their engines making them sound bold, In the face of death with utmost calm, They take off with the engines roaring a song. The rolling thunder spread across the land, The Havocs lumber as if in band, In a parade across the sky, The escorts hover on high. Then over target, grim faced pilots place their gunsites, On the rondels of the bombers shining bright, Black explosions fill the air, Flak is bursting everywhere. A Havoc in flames at the hands of a machine, Then another explodes into smithereens, Straining hard low and slow, The wounded Havocs have far to go, Home at last with a heavy heart and parachute in hand, The crew climbs down, relieved to be back on land, Some have lost friends at the end of the day, Others have lost brothers, clothed in gray. But the war goes on without respite, Leaving behind the dead in the night, Aching hearts and tearful pain, Will never be lost but always be gained.
