I wish that the developers put in some HIGH ALTITUDE P-47s missions .   Actually, The P-47 was made for that type of missions.   They shotdown more enemy fighters at 20,000 or higher.

The 9th Air Force didn’t conduct tactical operations at 20,000’. The career and campaign deal with 9th TAC operations, NOT 8th Air Force bomber escort.

 

Not that we can’t make a few high alt missions, but the point is - it’s not an oversight.
