Super Impressed with FC

I never expected a re-hash of WW1 but for me, playing this in QMB and with PWCG. FC is pretty damn awesome. I'm really stoked that there was enough passion for what is probably a fan service title. Just spent the last hour chasing MvR over Arras in some of the most compelling visuals and the most visceral physics any sim hgas to offer.

Everything just feels right. I've only flown one biplane (A Waco Great Lakes) that would be loosely similar to an SE-5 or Fokker D.VII and handling is on point for those heavier, more powerful WW1 types. The guns feel right, the atmosphere is incredible in the new iteration. Outstanding work and thanks for the effort that you didn't really need to put in, in revisiting this arena! ~S~

Yeah, i just messed around with a Halberstadt .... if you get TC at some point, that's a non historical tiger killer too.

Agree.. despite some imperfections and the mimimimi about it, it is definitely great fun! But so is being plebs (just occasionally).

I think it is the best chapter in the series.  It just needs a minimum of at least one classic recon aircraft like the Re-8 to bring the gameplay into focus.

It’s got a classic recon aircraft.  The Bristol F.2.  The R.E.8 was an early war aircraft, and this is a late war game.  Gameplay would not be enhanced by adding an early war aircraft to a late war plane set, and I know that you’re all about the gameplay.

Thanks Robin.  The Bristol Fighter is nice, particularly online as it is a bit of a rocket.  There were still 19 squadrons of Re.8s serving in 1918, so it tends to span both eras.  One of the reasons I hoped to see it was that as well as being a classic type to fly, it also represented the classic prey of the Jastas.

You'll probably get it with FC2, but the F.2 is much more appropriate for FC1.   You're welcome.

I'd rather console the lonely widows of anyone fool enough to get into one of those sardine cans. The only thing I can think of that would be worse is serving in a sub.

I bet you would. :icon_lol:

Tanks do have a use after all.

Well I mean .... they keep plebs amused. ;)

Yeah the old Stalwart Hary Tate should be in it, or the DH-9 or DH-4. The German side also lacks the old banger two seater type. I can't say I miss chasing the bastards all over France though.
