CoD to BoF

While I have nothing against CoD, I would really have preferred the Battle of France being a BoX module over a CoD expansion. But CoD seems to be advancing there already.

It seems that some agreements have been reached between 1C Company, 777 Studios, 1C Game Studios and Team Fusion Simulations:

 

 

1. Asia-Pacific War (1932-1945) : impossible to say, no developing company wants or can handle those theatres of operations. At least no for the moment.

 

2. Early years of WWII in Europe (Czechoslovakia, Poland, Scandinavia, Benelux, Battle of France, Battle of Britain North Africa = Team Fusion Simulations).

 

3. All subsequent years of WWII in Europe (Russia, Caucasus, Normandy and progression to Berlin = 1C Game Studios).

 

 

All of this is nothing but second guessing, obviously.

Well, to be fair, the only new thing that hasn't been in CloD since 2011 for a Battle of France like we have now is the D.520. So that it probably why it was the more obvious path than doing it for BoS. I know there are other French types missing for a proper BoF.

 

BoS I imagine has other more well known theaters in the pipeline after BoN that would need the ressources.

Even if IMO an aicraft pack for early war (1940) could have been a thing if it weren't for the overlap 1C is apparently wanting to avoid for the moment at least.

 

Maybe give CloD a go if you haven't already and are wanting to fly BoF missions.

I feel that CloD is in a better position to cover the Battle of France mainly due to the 1940 plane-set. 

 

I'm sure that one could somewhat cover part of BoF with the Normandy map, along with the Battle of Britain with BoM/BoS planes, and Spitfire Vb, and Hurricane Mk.II-- the LaGG-3 can be the D.520.

Probably one of the 2 games, quite possibly both at some point in the future will do the Battle of France.

Nope. The D.520 was modelled by TFS for the Dover series. Let 1CGS model their own D.520 for their Great Battles series if 1CGS wants one D.520... and let's compare both modelled planes when both will be ready. For now we have at least one authentic D.520, no need of ersatz planes...
