phizix Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Hey, I've been reading all posts about how to set up the ports to host a coop server. I've opened 28000, 28100 (TCP & UDP). I can see my friends server or host a server myself, download the mission files, then loading screen starts, finishes and I got ported back to the game mode selection. Same for him. I've checked if port is open once hosted a server with https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and 28000 is open. Also allowed all connection for IL2 on the firewall. Please help, this is very frustrating! Cheers P

The usual cause of this problem is specifying the wrong IP address for the server. Depending on how you're running the server, make sure the hosting machine's local IP matches that specified in the sds file or the in-game server configuration screen. 1

It works now. What i did: - Opened Port 28000 and 28100 (as specified in the multiplayer configuration ingame) TCP and UDP for IPv4 and IPv6 in the router. - Checked the Ports in the multiplayer configuration ingame - Inserted the right (local) IP-address in the multiplayer configuration ingame. For me it was something like that pattern: 192.168.abc.xyz - Started Coop Server with generated mission - Friend joined the server. - Done. Deacon352nd Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 How do you find the local ip of your machine? I’m trying to set up a dserver on my laptop so I can test certain aspects ( check zones)of missions I made. These can’t be checked by running the game only through the use of a dserver and then connecting my desktop to the dserver. Im having this problem when I try to adapt the configuration sds file to my laptop.
No_85_Gramps Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Open a command prompt and type ipconfig and hit enter. Look for the line IPV4 address. 2
