downloaded missions not working after updates is there a fix please?

You can try resaving them.
Either by editor or other tools, or wait for the author to update them for you.

if you do not have the .mission file then you are out of luck.  

If you have the .mission and the .msnbin file for the mission, delete the .msnbin file.
