Unable to select player plane on Quick mission.

After couple of years tried Cliffs of Dover blitz again. Tried multiple quick missions but was unable to change player plane in any of them. It used to be possible.

How I am able to select something else than default plane to fly on Quick Missions? This is annoying since I can't learn to fly for example Fiat G50 in quick missions.

Has something changed or is this bug? I have version CloDBlitz 5.007 installed today, no Desert Wings expansion installed.

What do you mean by Custom? I Don't get it :P
For example Free flight -Channel mission description states that: "Fly over English channel in a plane of your choice".  Yet I cannot change the plane or am I missing something. This is no go for me concerning buying Desert Eagle expansion. As I stated, It used to work and if it was changed, then that was very stupid change.

I am not gonna learn mission builder just to try and learn different planes. Don't have time for that cumbersome software :)

Found it :) Seems to require double click ? Note to myself, RTFM ? ? ?

You may just do a stupid think such as double clic here ...

And then do another stupid thing by double clic on the plane you need...

Tried to find where you can select either red or blue for the planes in action the main game view. Not possible?

Beside the selection pointed by OBT-Mikmak, do this:

In Options > "Realism" > Aircraft Switching > leave all "Cannot..." options not ticked.

Start any QM with multiple planes, and press the keys:

"Shift + F2" for cycle camera view through planes on your side and/or

"Ctrl+F2" for cycle camera view  through planes of enemy side.

If when the camera view are over this plane you press the keys sets for (In Options > Controls > View)

"Take Control of Selected AI Aircraft"

You are moved for the cockpit of this plane and have control, regardless their side.

As Lutier write in that uninspired manual of CloD "released":

" Cliffs of Dover contains a feature we believe has never before been seen in a major flight simulation. Depending on preference, you can jump into any other plane in the game at any time. Been shot down? Instead of restarting you can jump into a wingman’s plane and continue with the mission.

Can’t get a bead on that pesky enemy ace? Jump into the enemy plane and drive him into the ground.Been shot down? Instead of restarting you can jump into a wingman’s plane and continue with the mission. Can’t get a bead on that pesky enemy ace? Jump into the enemy plane and drive him into the ground.?

BTW - CloD was not the first CFS with this feature, some from 1990's have this.
