BF109 F4/trop missing external fuel tank (?)

Hi guys,

am I blind or does the F4/trop not have the option to take an external fuel tank with me?

Good question...Drop tanks were shown in the beta screenshots...I just looked and it seems they might be added to at least some Emil Trop models( I could check them off instead of bomb racks but didn't check to see if they appeared in game yet, )but they aren't an option on "F"'s...????

Some Emils have it (E-4/B and E-7 trop and non-trop iirc) and the non-trop Fs have it too.
There is still a bug with it online though. After you drop it, if the other player isn‘t looking when you do it, the tank still shows. Just like the gear in the 109 that appears down when you set your gear handle to neutral after raising it.

Just the F/Trop variants don’t have the external tanks. Should have them though.
 

I‘ve posted this in the bug report section but got no answer to it. Would be great to have it.

Go to plane options on the first page and set up the drop tanks. Save as custom, or what ever you want.

Go into mission and choose custom or what not and you should have it.

So in order to get it work online in MP I have to use this work-around? Well, not ideal but thanks :)

Hey guys, no need to use the plane options for that. But it works too. 

Before you create your plane in MP just select the bomb rack option with the ETC 503 and 300 L tank under loadout when available.
It is the same as going through options and saving it. 
 

But only for the planes that have it. Like I said, the 109F-4/Trop doesn‘t, like some others also don‘t.

I’ve done this for all the “E”s and “F”s that accept the ‘Custom” change in “Plane” options, but still haven’t gotten them to show up in game when I fly the chosen plane in “Quick” Missions.Obviously this is disappointing...Any ideas?
