i dont know where to place this message , it is for the aircraft developer

Dear Sirs

I am experiencing a very odd situation when returning to base to land . When approaching the runway having suffered extensive damage to the rear section such as rudder , boom and stabilizer the nose drops immediately i drop the undercarriage and i crash  since i am at a height below 500 yards and i cannot  lift the plane back up . Is this realistic ? Surely if every pilot belly landed their damaged aircraft every time they return from a sortie  as a precaution because they are not sure they will survive that could not have been normal practice . Could you please give us some explanation and input .   sincerely yours

I'm not an aerodynamic expert, but I imagine with a serious damage of the whole rear fuselage structure, the center of gravity may change dramatically to an

extend that with deploying the undercarriage and the sudden added drag, the plane becomes uncontrollable.

It happened twice in the same manor from attacking ships and suffering intense flack . If every time you get damaged you go nose down at attempted landing there must be something wrong . I am awaiting the aircraft developers comments with interest .

Might be something similar to the P-51 tail damage issues, as described here:
