5 Second Fuse, Still won't detonate?

Had 6 500lbers on the P-38 and was at 13k with intent to dive bomb an industrial center. Instead, decided to pick up speed and get low, skipping the bombs in quick succession over the length of the center. Came in really low and fast- about to the limit a 38 can handle. Anyway, I dropped them all perfectly- or so I thought. Not one of the 6 detonated. I had a 5 second fuse set and was under the impression that any bomb with a 5 second fuse would detonate regardless of altitude dropped. Any ideas?

I did have similar situation once with FW-190 at a low angle.

 

When I watched the track on F6 bomb view instead of skipping, the bomb went underground tunnelling for a few hundred metres and disappeared. Some kind of bug.

Not sure but the bomb normally needs time to arm once its left the rack. try it a bit higher. It may also give the bomb a chance to noze over.. Skip bombing ships on water works for sure.

Yes, happend to me several times at beginning when I dropped it a low angles and quite late. Not sure though if that is a bug or feature.
