Drivable vehicles ...How to?

Recommended Posts

I've gotten far enough to be able to get to see the Pz II's & IV's and even get a gunsight view in the very restricted inside.I've assigned key stroke commands as best I can. The result ; nada. Although I can watch the vehicle in battle ( if there is one,) I can't command it to do anything. I'm not even sure its possible. Can someone give me a clue?

BTW: The only vehicle I really want to drive around the roads of Britain and France is the snappy MGTA roadster...Now that would be fun!Can someone figure out how this might be done?

( And yes I owned one once!!)

TANKS....a lot!?

But aren't these key stroke commands for Great Battles vehicles? They don't apply for the ones we have in CLOD and DWT?

Of course they don't. That's why it's entitled  IL2TankCommands. ?

Thad subliminal message: "If you want drive tanks, do this in IL-2: Tank Crew"...because (CloD) Maddox Games TA Sports is out or your reach. ?

There were a few missions published I think a long time ago that allowed some type of ground vehicle to be used by the player, possibly AA vehicles, not sure, however, it was I think something aimed more at multiplayer than for single player, you could operate them as single player but it was more to take a look around rather than be of any real use in game.;)

There are probably all kinds of hidden goodies in this game that were never brought to fruition, maybe one day that sports car might be available to drive around the maps, we can live in hope, really is a lovely model.:drinks:

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Well... when it ran....which typically wasn't that often. It had a short that drained the Lucas battery (  Yes , yes I know: Prince of Darkness...very true in this case...) whenever the lights were turned on.It sort of limited its ....um....effectiveness..but in the early 1970's after I had to sell it I came to my senses & have had this ever since...Its lasted thru 46 years of marriage so you might say its done a fine job!

I am a bit sorry for starting this post, but I had just read another post ( somewhere) indicating that someone else had found he could indeed operate some of the vehicles & was having some problems that he needed help with. As vehicle operation has long been well...sort-of...promised ...I figured I might give it a try ( not that I really have time to drive a Pz IV around Tobruk, but what the heck...I can only offer "the Rick Blain Casablanca Defense that " : I was misinformed..."

( BTW As you can see I did sign on to Tank Crew and as many of you read yesterday they announced up and coming FLAK vehicle options .I'll probably buy the GermanSd.Kfz.10/5 38 just to give it a spin, but honestly I spend far more time with flying in GB ( & now DWT,) than plowing around the countryside with the steel beasts in TC...Still I must say having a flip in the MG to the nearest pub or out to my Hurricane ala Piece of Cake would be a bit of alright!)
