SCG_Faerber Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 (edited) Not trying to be THAT guy but when I preordered Tank Crew, these vehicles were supposed to come with it and it was one of the reasons that I got the pack as I thought anti-air would be a fun thing to do in a all out battle, I feel kinda cheated on that end and although I love your product and will support it all the way, this is kind of a bad move... We announced before TC went on sale that these were removed and would be sold separately. You can't feel cheated because you never paid for them. Sorry you are wrong. If you don't like, don't buy. Simple as that. Our partners don't work for free and this type of vehicle is a whole other challenge to make so they needed a separate development cycle. Jason 7 1 2 6 1 22

This has always been a bit of a pain as you had to see what you have with the premium paks and what "collector" planes were not, what you had bought, what you had not but, if IC is going to branch out into more and more add on modules like this, other planes, and scripted campaigns, they really need to have a "in library" badge on items in their store. 3 10

Yes, I know about the licenses page but, you have to cross check it with the store and that can be a bit of a problem as, first of all this is just kind of cumbersome in itself but can be even more onerous when some collector planes are part of the premium titles that were purchased. 1

With the BoX titles it was usually just different flavours (different bomber/fighter/attacker) which I am totally fine with. This is like putting attackers or bombers as a branch behind such a wall. I realize this is a third party project and things might be different from the main development products, but I hope this will not become a "thing" in the future. 1 4

Is the shooter/driver different game models but controlled by the same player? How much of the gameplay will be driving focused and how much will be shooting focused? Are we going to be able to attach a racing wheel and drive around like that...then shoot with the mouse? As I don't have tank crew...this is a less specific question... Tank crew got its own map that was a little more detailed from the ground level since the tanks were going to be driving around. These vehicles are more likely to be used on the flight maps than the tank map. I understand that the tanks can be used on the flight maps as well, but my question here is how does the "from the ground" quality of the early maps (Stalingrad, Moscow) compare with the tank map? Will we all be waiting the release of Normandy to have a map thats really up to snuff? Edited September 23, 2020 by dprumph33

If it takes a special 'teaser' a day before hand to announce something that may come at the end of the year? And it's something that obviously puts the cart ahead of the horse? A LOT of basic and key features are desperately needed for the Tank Crew to make it playable: Accurate armor, penetration and ballistic system? Some decent game modes specifically designed for tank battles? Manual gear box for the drivers? Correct and useful optics for tank commanders? A decent terrain interaction system to stop making tanks running on 'invisible flat tarmac'? A useful Command & Control panel for commanders to issue orders? Crew voices? None of these basic features has been correctly adopted and the game experience of Tank Crew is literally broken. And now you are going to add yet another two new vehicles? Those tracks are not performing satisfying enough out in the wild and yet you are going to add something runs on wheels? Excuse me I just can't see the point of adding any new vehicle before you guys adopt these basic and essential features into the game, as to merely make Tank Crew playable. 1 2 8

The pilot drives, and if you want to use the weapon, you change positions. If you stay a pilot, the AI will fire automatically when a plane passes within range, like a gunner now.

What variant of the Flak 38 will be get (how many barrels) What crew positions will be modeled, how will the driving -> deploy-gun process work (I hope it's not too gamey) What is the average number of seconds I'll actually survive in these things.....lots to unpack over the coming months and I'm looking forward to it a lot. I seriously doubt anyone would be sitting in the vehicle the whole map period and waiting for the enemy planes. These vehicles will be used on the basis of the "hey, our objective shows 2 enemy planes are near, let's spawn in AA and see if we can tag those bastards... play for 5 mins, planes are gone, ok, let's get back to flying.." etc...

Has Tank Crew really sold that many units to justify using supposedly limited resources on doing flak vehicles while constant requests for a collectors B-25 or C-47 continue to fall on deaf ears? 20

I’m eager to try my hand at bird shooting again. I think it’ll be both a challenge to master and exciting to try out. 1
