Marvel Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 (edited) Hi folks, here my last production about gimbal joystick. Is an all metal work (ergal and aluminium) production of a well-know 3d gimbal joystick that many of you have already seen on the web. I hope this is the definitive one for me ?. Here a short video: Next steps will be the sensors, I will use once again my beloveds AS5600. Ciao! M Edited September 22, 2020 by Marvel 2
Soilworker Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Some really nice work there dude. (Though from a professional point of view I think the embedded nuts are a tad overkill, especially as you're not even using capscrews with them.) Hope it works out for you!

You've right mate but I really liked the idea and I trasferred that on this all metal work. With jump EDM was a quick job. Ciao! M

Here's a WIP of my brake lever, just as an example. ?

luckylaide Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Hi Marvel, Great work! I am impressed by this design. I found this forum as I was searching for gimbal designs and had to ask you about some details. You stated its from the production of a well-know 3d gimbal joystick that many of us have already seen on the web. I have know idea which 3d gimbal stick you were referring. Do you mind sharing the actual brand and model? I am looking to build something similar for a VR idea. I would like for the gimbal built to be able to bare the weight of up to 150 kg. I would like to start researching where I can get the metal work done and what may be the best potentiometers to use. Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks
