Hi All, Is it possible to feather an engine on the P38, I have the engine numbers [1+2] indicated on my screen,  I would like to try my luck with trying to land the P38 on one engine, I my have to do it one day !!!

Cheers

I have had to do that various times.

* Select Damaged Engine. There is now an indicator in the HUD

* Feather Prop. I have it mapped to a toggle switch

* Reduce Throttle to 0 to prevent fire

* Select Good Engine

* Retrim

I have a VoiceAttack command set up to feather engine 1 or 2 if anyone's interested.

In addition, an indicator light will illuminate, which serves to tell you which engine needs to be feathered. The idea with this light is that, when an engine goes out, the pilot will apply opposite rudder to maintain level flight, and the direction in which opposite rudder has been pressed will determine which of these indicator lights will illuminate.
