Ich bin Ausländer. Care to elaborate?

I just had this one wierd dude at work who used to mention it pretty much every week but I don't think he himself knew why.

You counted every day until dismissal from a duty many young conscripts saw no sense in and where not doing it by heart. Hence many conscripts cut 1cm of their tape meassure every day to keep track of how many days still dismissal date. Once they reached the half (meaning half of their duty in days done) they celebrated "Bergfest" and usually got blastered and drunk as a skunk.

I was in service for 12 months but never knew about this....pity!

Ah I see! That makes a lot more sense and fits well to my ex-colleague's dumb sense of humour, ie: celebrating a freakin' Wednesday.

Thanks!

I actually did the tape measure thing back in the day, counting down the days until I finished my apprenticeship and could move to Germany to be with my (now ex-) girlfriend (her idea, unsurprisingly), in 9 days it'll be 10 years ago that I moved.

Well you know about it now, you could use that as an excuse to celebrate. We could celebrate together! A celebration of knowledge. ??

(My experience with Germans is it doesn't take much of an excuse. ?

LOL! Yeah that is correct. If you can´t find a reason for a little party that only means you haven´t looked hard enough. Prost!

Hawker Hurricane.

i hope so, because that anemic Tempest we got was so nerfed. Time for a proper Hawker.

We had a patch last week dudes, it's not the hurricane. Patches are always spaced about a month in-between each other.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hump this seems way more plausible as a C-47 announcement.

Since most of the aircraft are already there, a "small map" would be nice

Technically, that is a 'small scale' map, so you are the best kind of correct.

Oh if only... The Hampden or ''The Flying Suitcase'' as it became known, could be used by the RAF and the Soviets in game.

It reminds me of a insect, the dragonfly comes to mind.

It would be so nice to receive a surprise map based on any Mediterranean location... we have almost all planes involved so why not?

*sigh* He knew this was going to drive us all nuts.

I'm guessing it might be one of the AI only aircraft getting a flyable release. Could be the hurricane although that was said to come October.

Sounds like the work on Market garden campaign will start on wednesday night

Of course... speculation requires verification, often leading to misinformation.

Let's be real, its not all that hard, just sometimes explosive. Like shooting fish in a barrel full of gasoline.

Oooh, that makes me think, maybe they'll drop an API update!

''Throughout the 20th century, Wednesday was especially referred to as hump day in an effort to liven up the drudgery of the workweek. Coworkers may wish one another Happy Hump Day! in a lighthearted or ironic acknowledgment that day-to-day work can be a drag. Evidence for the phrase dates back to at least the 1980s.''

Maybe the air Marshall is ready and comes along with the Hurricane.

Or is that an odd way to announce a new front? Only Jason knows.

He's just announcing 'Happy Hump Day' from the USA... nothing to get excited about really!

Not unless something properly drastic has happened to the direction of the Earths rotation. Mind you, I'm not ruling anything out at this point...
