FlyingH Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 (edited) Since 2020 08 17 and 2020 09 17 I have a bunch of xxxx.gtp files in my data folder. Where do they come from, where do they belong and what are they for? (Example, Campaigns.gtp, characters.gtp, graphics1 - 3, maps2 - 8.gtp, missions, planes, scg, script, skins2 - 13, sky, swf and vehicles1 - 4.gtp) This is after 4.5 update without mods enabled. CountZero Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Thouse files were always in that folder, without them your game would not work. Maybe they were hidden for you if you didnt noticed them before. You can extract them with unGTP-IL2.exe program located somwhere in Mods forum if you wont to make mods for game.
FlyingH Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Thanks CZ, strange I had not notised theese before! I checked the other (non steam) installation and they were there too so ...... guess I wasn´t really observant enough!

I was told not to do that; they are all the basic files belonging to your subscription ...

jollyjack Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Well i got a warning for extracting copyrighted ones from paid campaigns, so at least leave them be. Latter was not clear to me but BlackSix explained that in a PM. I understand now why.
