Saving an alternative version of the same mission

Hello everyone, long time lurker first time poster!

I just got into the mission editor for the first time yesterday and wow what a treat! I've created a mission and wanted to make an alternative version. My original mission was named 'Kuban coop test' and I wanted to change out different aircraft and make a "Kuban test coop V2." I can do this, however when I make a coop playlist the missions are both labeled 'Kuban coop test.' Despite having the same name the missions are different as intended. This isn't a deal breaker but it would be nice to be able to identify the different versions of this mission. I changed the name of the mission in mission properties and used 'save as' when I was done. I checked the files in my coop folder and they seem to have the new name, but when selecting missions for the playlist they remain the same name.

Big ups to everyone on the forum and those that have created tutorials for mission building, I wouldn't have got this far without all of you!

Assuming everything else is correct.... try Saving the modified version into different place (folder) initially. Then copy the modified  (renamed) version in with the original. :salute:

I seemed to have the same result. Saved the modified version to a folder, copied it over, still has the same name when creating a playlist.

Verify that the mission names are actually different in the ME?

At the top of the ME where the file path is, the mission properties area, and the files themselves are all different from the original.

In the ME mission properties window, in the name field, change the name of the mission at the beginning. For example I have a mission named Velikie Luki Train Raid, if I resave it as Velikie Luki Train Raid Axis, they both show up the same in the game. If I name it Axis Velikie Luki Train Raid, it shows up correctly in the game.

That's the fix! Thanks Gramps! I changed 'Kuban Coop V2' to 'V2 Kuban Coop' and it worked.
