I was wondering if, like me, you think it would be a good idea to have persistent mods and paints assigned to each aircraft in the squadron. I know paints already kind of are but are assigned to pilot, not plane. The aircraft would then be assigned to individual pilots, or not, depending on historical accuracy for a given nation. That way when you change your plane's mods and paint this stays like that through successive missions until your plane gets destroyed or you change it again. Optionally the player could have control over this depending on rank, ie lowest rank would have no say, second lowest maybe could add one mod, then two mods, then two mods and paint, then when you become squadron leader you decide what plumage and mods all of the squadrons planes will carry and who flies which.

It has been. Amounts to too much bookkeeping and probably not enough skins. I had a better explanation in a different thread.
