Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to get the plane attitude in realtime (plug-in ,dll, memory mapping ) ?.

I'm looking for Pitch Roll Yaw Acceleration on 3 axis ....

Sincerely

Hi,

There is no way to export data from the game ?

Thanks

Would be nice to get this export data added and hooked into Tacview - it's great for reviewing fights after.

Can it be done with DeviceLink ?

While this use is an excellent idea and I would be all for it, also to enable people to output to gauges etc. in full simpipits, I support.

However it really opens a can of worms for MP with added un historical screens for gauges and scripted warnings that while technically are fun would rather spoil the whole point of historically accurate cockpits in full real servers.

There is even simple software that will get you your gauges overlayed on your original monitor.

All very gamey and against the grain for historical MP combat, but if there is an exploit IT WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF and justified because it is possible.

Surely the most important thing about a WWII sim is to have it historical and on a level playing field for all, as much as possible. How realistic is it to be able to have a custom gauges screen in any font layout and in any colour with extra big temp/timer warnings, Certainly WWII pilots were unable to request a custom instrument panel to there own design and whim, particularly not with digital readouts and bonus features :)

If one squadron in game was found to have been able to "mod" the game to have FW190 cockpits in their La-5's because it is better layed out and more user friendly they would be rightly accused of "having an advantage" regardless of how unrealistic this would be

Device link and other such things are great and have there place, but not while flying in Full Real/Expert MP servers

While you make some good points Dakpilot but they can always give the option to the one hosting the server to turn off this feature.

I recently finished building my full motion seat to be able to feel what the plane is doing and I can get motion from most flight sims except this one and rise of flight. And to steal your wording Dak how realistic is it to fly while sitting in a static seat? I would argue that it's harder for me to line up a shot while moving.

Come on devs I beg you for this feature as most flight sims and racing sims allow this, please follow suit.

Frenchfly - so your sim seat actually moved? Like a FFB stick kind of deal?!

Dakpilot- I believe there are ways to prevent most of the kinds of 'cheating' certain 'more emotional/competitive ' types deem to be such a problem.

The first is that any data exported should be ONLY available from the instuments available (including all errors etc in the pit of the plane being flown. This is not ideal for those wishing to use motion platforms (no acceleration data).

Second possible route is to make it 'mods only'. Surely this means there could be no possible way of using it on 'full real' servers.

Personally I think the sever side 'switch'/ conf ini line method. If it was up to me this would be something like:-

Data ouput =0.  No data output- suitable for  competitions etc

Data output=1.  Instrument data only. Should be suitable for most servers.

Data ouytput=2. Full data output (incl 3D accel parameters). Suitable for 3D motion platform users/those who don't think there is a cheating issue.

That must be highly immersive.

Hi!

I would like to ask you in what way I could extract telemetry from IL2 BS, axes X,Y,Z (If your simulator has this option, as for example FSX Microsoft does). I would like to use my 6DOF system for playing your simulator. I would like to also know whether it is possible to extract telemetry from your simulator using X-Sim program.

Thank you in advance for your response!

I believe it won't be available, but please do a search to confirm that. There have been at least a couple of posts about it.
