From the new update....

"Please take in attention: adding Haze option to the mission format makes previously saved .msnbin mission files obsolete. Delete them and save the new version using .Mission files."

So now I have to re-save every mission I made?  WTF?  Why wasn't this done automatically with the update?  Do they realize that mission builders build a lot of missions and how long this can take?  Imagine the campaign maker with a couple of 30 mission campaigns and all the Multipalyer/dogfight missions that have been made by community members!

Even using the "Resave All Missions in Folder" from Tools take a long time.  besides the wait for the ME to re-save the missions, which each new folder you have to navigate through the tree to get to the folder.

Look, this haze might be a great new feature but what you have to do to use it was shortsighted IMO.

The ME itself can be frustrating enough and now this.  ?

You can pick a high-level folder and the resave feature will resave missions in all the lower folders.

So I can click "Multiplayer" and all the missions in the sub-folders will be re-saved?  That helps.

Thank God for COVID-19 as I have the time to take most of my day to re-save all the missions I have made and downloaded.

Hi gents

I've never done this before. What does 'save the new version using .Mission files' mean? Where can I find the .exe please?

1. Open your ME

2. Go to Tools > Resave All Missions in Folders.

3. Navigate to your game location > data > Missions or Multiplayer and highlight one of those folders.

4. Click OK

5. Have dinner, watch a movie, play a game of chess.

I'm resaving my Multiplayer folder now.  I have over a hundred missions, templates etc. including stuff I've downloaded.  So far it's been 40 minutes but it is resaving.

Thanks Beebop, much appreciated.

Hmmm, I picked 'Multiplayer' folder and after an hour I got an error message but am not clear on the error.  I have not yet found how far the re-save got but early letter folders seem OK.

Will advise when the mission/folder causing the error is found

(this could just be my error, not a system error)

Usually works for me, but picked a mission from the folder after the process was finished and it failed to open.

I had to delete the .msbin and resave the mission I was working on manually.

FFS I'd better not have to do this with every mission.
