First time ever I saw an actual bailout animation in CloD/DWT!

Years ago before CloD was actually released I remember Oleg (?) posted what the bailout animation would look like if you had to bail out.It was pretty good compared to the old IL-2 version, and showed a pilot actually leaving the plane realistically, much like we now see in GB. So far as i know it was never adopted and in the years since I've never seen ( for myself)this sort of animation,BUT yesterday Idid. Not for myself sadly but for the plane ( a Hurricane ) I had just shot up in Desert Wings. For some reason or another I switched exterior view to this aircraft at just the right moment and lo & behold there was the Brit pilot opening the canopy, standing up and leaving his damaged plane. I know , I know in the greater scheme of things ,not a big deal, still it was fun to watch after all these years waiting to see something like this occur in CloD...Of course someone might say its been around , but I just have missed it? So far as I know it still doesn't happen when I bail out...there's never time to check the exterior view of my aircraft .You see it automatically in GB however.

(Pictured below , obviously NOT from CloD , but only there to give you an idea...visually...that is...)

This animation is not applied to player plane.

"Band-daid": ? With an keymapper software - e.g. JoyToKey, set a button for bail out (change assignment for single key, e.g. Numpad*, CLoD don' like of JoyTokey Alt/Ctrl/Shift+key), on button press and F2 on button release.

Then at start of jump animation camera change for external side and you see pilot outside of plane, with camera now following the pilot.

The pilot not exactly leave the cockpit like you see AI done, but appear outside, since things happens fast no big deal.

I don't understand why someone need a "HUD" saying "canopy open", "pilot bail out", this is visually obvious.

Messages like these don't worth nothing, just pollute the screen.

BTW - In game animations list are 8 animations for bail out, including 3 "problems" for open canopy (blister).

Aaahhhh! The old handstand on the port Spitty wing dismount. Quite a difficult way to bailout of a kite, but the Englanders always did have a bit of flare and style about them.

The pilot would have found it a lot easier if he'd opened the side door!  The instruction trainee pilots were given was to do this and 'Dive onto the port wing - don't worry, you won't hit it."

Odd looking MkV - it has the later, Mk 9, separate exhaust stubs.  I must check it next time I fly.  Looks like a radiator under the port wing, too.  Who's snuck in a 9?

This is an original bail out animation from "Storm of War: The Battle of Britain" when "Cliffs of Dover" still was in development. It is at least 11 years old now, or maybe even older. I don't think it has ever been used and I also think it has no historical rigour either:
