Easy way to change the installation hard drive?

I want to move it (not Steam version) from its current HDD (C: ...) to a new SSD (E: ...). Should I uninstall and reinstall it completely or could I just copy the "1C Game Studios" folder and change the path of its "Launcher.exe" desktop shortcut?

You can just copy it to the new location and then update the shortcuts.

Thanks,  I did, but when I launch it from E: there is activity only on C (using performance track from task manager).

Delete the original short cuts and create new ones from the files on the e: drive. I use one for the launcher, one direct to game, and one for the ME. I've moved my install a couple of times w/o any issues.

That is exactly what I did, in fact I see that the exe running is that in the E: unit, yet there is no activity on E, only on C ?

I get the same. Only thing I can think of is the activity on C is related to the pagefile usage.

Might be. I changed some input config options and, effectively, the modified files are these in the E: unit. It is pretty weird to do not detect any activity on that unit when loading the game. I guess it should be safe to remove the folder in C or to uninstall it (the installation registry points to C).

For stand alone should be simple cut and paste of game folder (from one location to new location) ,then create a shortcut to the launcher

I have both steam and standalone versions. I even run a dserver install on same pc in a virtual machine for testing of mplayer missions I build.

Then create a shortcut (example for my location to put on the desktop the shortcut)

There is always activity on windows system drive when you launch any program, totally normal, just make sure the shortcut is point to correct install
(game running off E drive in this picture, showing disc activity on that drive during load)

I follow this steps to move from a soon empty m.2 disk (C:) to other m.2 disk (F:) and can´t get the screen resolution when it was in disk C (3840 x 2160). Even in graphics configuration seted to 3840 x 2160 it appears like 720p but with good resolution. But can´t see all the screen, can´t see the menu. Think was a issue, but finally uninstalled and reinstaled in the new M.2 disk an the result was the same issue. Any ideas?

Thank you!

I used this to successfully move the game install

https://www.diskpart.com/partition-manager-pro-edition.html

The reason I moved it rather than simply uninstalling and reinstalling was because I ran out of space and could no longer update and I was worried about losing certain files like career progress etc.
