migmadmarine Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I am struggling with how to color the spinner on the P-47D-22. It looks fine when stopped, but when rotating, bands of the color I have applied to the spinner shift back onto the hub. Anything that can be done to correct this, or should one just not paint the spinner? Would be a shame, as I'm intending to tackle "Magic Carpet" as a skin. 2
Danziger Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 It took a lot of trial and error for me to get it to work. Try laying this down in your template. http://www.mediafire.com/view/e7ytzl8gh0uk14n/P-47D-22_Spinner.png/file
migmadmarine Posted September 14, 2020 Author Posted September 14, 2020 Thanks, gave that a look, but it doesn't quite solve the issue I have, since I'm trying to only paint the spinner, not the actual hub. The issue is the color on the spinner gets copied to the hub as the prop spins:
Danziger Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 That long rectangular piece in the middle has the still spinner tube and spinning hub in it. I'm not sure where the divide is if there is one.
